Our Yin Yoga Course is a three-month immersion designed to deepen your understanding of the body, the mind, and the subtle energetics that sit beneath both. This training goes far beyond learning postures. It’s a slow, intentional study of stillness, anatomy, emotional intelligence, and the art of guiding students through a deeply restorative practice.

Across the three months, we explore:

  • Foundational Yin principles – understanding fascia, meridian theory, and the science of slowing down.

  • Functional anatomy – learning how every body is different and how to teach in a way that is supportive, safe, and adaptable.

  • Energetics & philosophy – bridging ancient wisdom with modern insights to help you hold space with clarity and confidence.

  • Teaching methodology – sequencing, cueing, and developing your unique voice as a Yin facilitator.

  • Personal practice & self-inquiry – integrating the work on and off the mat through reflection, journaling, and grounding rituals.

This course is ideal for yoga teachers wanting to expand their skillset, as well as dedicated students seeking a more intimate, steady approach to self-development. By the end, you’ll not only understand Yin, you’ll embody it.

Much of her time is spent in the great outdoors, and she believes this plays a big role in helping her create an authentic and down to earth training for the modern yogi.

Heather Kinang's thirst for adventure and travel led her to Southeast Asia, India, and Nepal in her early 20’s, where she delved into the depths of Buddhism and Hinduism. In her classes, she  seamlessly blends challenge with profound wisdom, placing a strong emphasis on physical alignment. Heather is unwavering in her belief in the transformative benefits of regular yoga practice, recognising it as a path to both physical and emotional well-being. With extensive training under esteemed teachers like Noah Maze and Sarah Powers, she established and now leads The Yoga Co-operative. Heather’s vision is to create an inclusive sanctuary where students can forge deep connections with the community, themselves, and the transformative essence of yoga teachings. If you can’t find her in the yoga studio then you will likely find leading a trek in Nepal or teaching internationally. Heather’s classes are: Challenging, Powerful and Informative

Martin Collyer is a long term movement and yoga enthusiast.  His yoga practice spans almost two decades, his diligent practice and exploration of movement and artistry around three decades.  This passion led Marty to study physiotherapy full time at the University of Queensland, which he began in 2019.  He is passionate about effectively using yoga in all its facets to explore what it means to be most deeply, fully and exquisitely in this project of being human.  Moreover, he is deeply engaged in guiding new and established yoga teachers to find the most elegant expression of their work.
